The Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has drawn a five year programme of holding Annual SERC Schools on Nuclear Physics. The principal objective of this series of Schools has been to elevate the academic standard of the students engaged in research in Nuclear Physics in general and to motivate and prepare them for the new, frontline research opportunities with the upcoming national accelerator facilities in particular. This is achieved by intensive course work conducted by leading experts in the related fields.

The third school of this cycle of the schools is planned during December 21, 2006 to January 9, 2007 at the Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar. The faculty of the school will include :

The School is intended for Ph.D. students and fresh Post-Doctoral Fellows. All selected candidates will be provided travel (limited to AC-III), boarding and lodging as per the DST norms and are required to attend the entire school.

Applicants are also required to arrange for TWO letters of recommendation to be mailed (preferably by email) along with the application given in the format. The application must reach before September 30, 2006.
